Memristive nanowire random networks as biological neuron circuits

Memristive nanowire random networks show unique features resembling those of biological neuron circuits: high connectivity, self-adaptation, reweighting and rewiring of synapses, structural plasticity.

This article paves the way toward the emulation of the brain ability to change the structural map of the connections in response to experience - a paramount property that up to now is limited to live neural tissue - and to unconventional computing paradigms such as reservoir computing.
